Steve Hackett: Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical
Born and raised in Castlegar B.C., Steve spent 5 years in Victoria to complete his undergraduate degree. He returned to the Kootenays for the combination of work and play (fishing, camping, snowboarding). Steve began working with the DROP team in early 2016 having worked previously in the sawmill, public transit, and semiconductor fields.
Steves Drop on DROP: The variety and unpredictable nature of my daily responsibilities make my position very exciting.
Favorite project: The engineering, design, and procurement of a 100-ton press that was small enough to fit on a standard office desk.
If I weren’t doing this, I’d be Sports radio talk show host.
Strange but true fact:
Once performed on-stage with Whose Line Is It Anyways (live).
Shipping & Receiving
Rose Hird: Shipper / Receiver,
Water Jet Operator
Rose grew up in Slocan BC and joined Drop in 2011. When Rose is not performing meticulous waterjet cuts or caringly prepping large sprockets for their travels to their forever homes Ruth enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and hiking the outdoors.
Roses Drop on DROP: we have a great team atmosphere and we all work to help each other out and make sure the orders are shipping when they need to be.
Favorite project: traction winch.
If I weren’t doing this, I’d be: jobless.
Strange but true fact: a single ant can live up to 29 years.
Christina joined the Drops in September 2017. For the last 10 years, she's been working in the Oil& Gas Industry. Christina brings in ....

Strange but true fact:
Devin Gassoff: Shop Floor Production Manager
Devin moved to the Kootenays from Quesnel when he was 19. As a contractor, he first worked for DROP as one of several contracts in the region. DROP recognized Devins fabrication talent and invited him to join the team in 2014. When he is not welding perfection and managing the production line up at DROP Devin enjoys the hunting, camping, and fishing in the abundant wilderness of the Kootenays.
Devins Drop on DROP: we take pride in the culture we are building and in the quality of work we achieve on a daily basis.
Favorite project: Waterbridge Ferry systems because it was a new design and concept compared to the old systems.
If I weren’t doing this, I’d be a hunting guide.
Strange but true fact: never flown on a plane until I was 20 years old.
