Steve moved from Kelowna to Nelson to complete the Selkirk College Millwright Machinist Program and joined Drop in ___. Steve was drawn to the area for its varied lifestyle opportunities and enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking and fishing.   

​

Steve Drop on DROP: I am proud that there is real manufacturing in the Kootenays; where else could you have a real job and live this kind of outdoor lifestyle.  

Favorite project: the Traction winch for the cable ferry because the vast scope of work made it very interesting and challenging. 

 

If I weren’t doing this, I’d be: full time bike mechanic at Sacred Ride. 

 

Strange but true fact: competed at Canadian Nationals for figure skating.
